Senior Construction Lawyer – Doha

About the role

Our client, a leading law firm in Doha, is seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to strengthen its construction practice. The role involves advising a diverse client base on both contentious and non‑contentious construction matters across major infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction and engineering contracts.
• Provide legal advice on large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• Handle construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration and other dispute‑resolution mechanisms.
• Advise on contractual claims, extensions of time, delays, disruptions, defects and payment issues.
• Manage complex construction disputes from inception to resolution.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, developers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Support business development and contribute to the growth of the construction practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience as a qualified lawyer.
• Strong specialist background in construction law, covering both contentious and non‑contentious work.
• Proven track record in construction litigation and/or arbitration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Experience in the GCC or broader Middle East is advantageous but not mandatory.
