Senior Consultant, Finance Function (Doha)

About the role

PwC Middle East is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Finance Function Advisory practice in Doha. Reporting to a Manager within the Finance Function Effectiveness team, the consultant works in cross-functional internal and client teams on strategic finance transformation projects, from strategy to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver finance transformation projects covering Finance Policies and Procedures, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Chart of Accounts design, Period Close, Financial Reporting, Corporate Treasury, Management Reporting, ERP quality assurance and indirect tax.
• Advise clients on strategic finance matters and design solutions that deliver sustainable results.
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the assignment, taking ownership of parts of the project with limited supervision.
• Help manage and coach junior team members and mentor consultants in the team.
• Research and write proposals for clients in the UAE, KSA and the broader Middle East.
• Work with colleagues from the wider Consulting Team and other lines of service.

Required profile

• 3-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in consulting focused on finance transformation and broader finance consulting.
• Preferred qualifications: CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA and CMA.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required; fluency in Arabic is advantageous.
• Experience in at least two industry sectors, ideally including public sector, telecoms, industrial products, oil-gas and utilities.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East; visa sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Mandatory hands-on implementation experience of either SAP or Oracle financial modules.
• SAP Simple Finance, SAP FICO and integration with other SAP modules, or Oracle E-Business Suite/Fusion Financials and their integration.
• Strong understanding of financial policies and processes, financial planning and budgeting, chart of accounts, period close, financial reporting, corporate treasury, management reporting and tax.
• Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and G-Suite.
