Senior Coverage Manager, International Corporates

About the role

Commercial Bank of Qatar is looking for a Senior Coverage Manager, International Corporates. You will develop and manage relationships with international corporate clients in the countries assigned to you, and support the Head of International Banking in meeting the bank's goals.

Key responsibilities

• Market financing solutions such as credit facilities and treasury products to foreign companies, and lead profitable business growth within strategy, plan and budget.
• Grow the client list, identify new opportunities in target markets and build long-term, trusting relationships with clients.
• Manage business growth and division targets within an acceptable risk appetite, analysing and evaluating target returns and RAROC.
• Support the bank's growth and reputation by promoting it among regional and international banks and promoting cross-sell opportunities.
• Take part in regular client meetings, meet key clients at least once a year, and circulate call reports on all calls and visits.
• Monitor market and competitive trends, KPIs and budgets on assets, deposits, interest and fee income.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, CFT and sanctions, including ongoing customer due diligence and timely action on audit and inspection reports.
• Monitor customer limits, prepare annual customer reviews, complete facility documentation and consult legal counsel on complex documents.
• Liaise with product specialists, suggest new or amended products and process improvements, and coordinate with Alliance banks and overseas branches.

Required profile

• University degree (preferably in Business: Finance/Marketing); postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Science preferred.
• 5-7 years of banking experience with international corporates, preferably in an international bank or in the GCC.
• Experience in syndicated and structured transactions, fund raising, and trade finance products and risk participations.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills, and strong credit and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of at least seven of: corporate banking, international banking, financial institutions, trade finance, treasury, capital markets, project finance, contractor finance, credit risk, special banking, country and bank risks, loan syndication, rating agencies and secondary market trade.
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with core documentation structures.
• External proficiency in QCB country policy and FATF/QCB compliance policy for financial institutions; internal knowledge of CB policy, delegation of authority and SOPs.
