Senior Data Science Specialist

About the role

Ooredoo Qatar is looking for a Senior Data Science Specialist to strengthen its AI practice. You will work closely with B2B, B2C, technology, finance and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI/ML and GenAI solutions that drive digital growth and support the company’s data & AI roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Understand telecom business requirements (B2C/B2B) and design AI/ML models that add measurable value.
• Own the full model lifecycle: problem framing, data discovery, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Deliver Customer Value Management use cases such as churn prediction, customer lifetime value, propensity scoring and Next‑Best‑Offer frameworks.
• Enable hyper‑personalisation and real‑time decisioning through recommendation models and event‑driven scoring.
• Support AI‑enabled marketing and digital sales optimisation, including audience segmentation, campaign uplift measurement and conversion analytics.
• Develop call‑center efficiency solutions like call‑volume forecasting, workforce optimisation and AI‑assisted routing.
• Design and implement conversational AI and GenAI solutions (virtual assistants, agent‑assist, summarisation, knowledge retrieval) while ensuring governance compliance.
• Perform data extraction, preprocessing and scoring using PL/SQL on platforms such as Teradata and Oracle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building and operationalising AI/ML models in a telecom or similar data‑intensive environment.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end model lifecycle and ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Experience with customer‑centric use cases such as churn, CLV, upsell/cross‑sell and real‑time recommendation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
