Senior Design Manager

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Design Manager with a strong architectural background to lead complex building projects in Qatar. You will drive design excellence, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure seamless progression from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, design strategies and detailed solutions that meet client briefs, sustainability goals and aesthetic standards.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle – feasibility, concept, detailed design, tendering and construction support.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and resources, monitoring progress and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and direction to architects, designers and technical staff.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants and regulatory authorities to secure approvals and maintain design integrity.
• Act as the primary design representative for clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive architectural experience with a proven track record on large‑scale building projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to translate client requirements into practical, sustainable and aesthetically appealing designs.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and presentation.
