Senior Engineering Systems Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Engineering Systems Engineer to support growth in Qatar, working on FEED, Pre‑FEED, brownfield and greenfield projects. The role focuses on delivering digital transformation and aligning technology solutions with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Execute project work according to execution plans, safety and quality procedures, and schedule targets.
• Provide digital leadership across the business, connecting core digital enablers to external growth opportunities and internal efficiencies.
• Act as the digital interface for IDT services, translating business needs into actionable initiatives.
• Develop and nurture cross‑functional relationships to identify and implement digital opportunities.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to Wood’s digital strategy.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of industry experience with a strong reputation.
• Strong business acumen, commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience influencing cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of business processes, data and IT systems used in industrial and corporate environments.
• Understanding of business and technology trends, data‑driven insights and decision‑making.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions, technology decisions and client‑facing product strategy.
