Senior Finance System Analyst – SAP FICO

About the role

The Senior System Analyst (Finance) will design, build, implement and continuously improve SAP finance solutions across all divisions and joint ventures of a leading Qatari shipping and maritime company. The role focuses on automating manual processes using SAP smart solutions and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO/FSCM implementation, provide post‑implementation support, and drive continuous improvement for finance, controlling, treasury and project modules.
• Collaborate with Finance and Treasury teams to support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including GR/IR clearing, foreign currency valuation, internal order settlement and corporate service allocation.
• Work with SAP ABAP and Basis teams to design custom developments, enhancements, roles and authorization matrices, ensuring segregation of duties.
• Create training materials, deliver end‑user training, and document RFCs, business processes and configuration changes.
• Develop analytical reports and dashboards using Power BI and SAP Data Sphere, and assist in problem management and issue resolution.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of SAP experience with at least 3 years in a similar senior analyst role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting or related field; certifications in SAP FICO/FSCM preferred.
• Industry experience in shipping, maritime or related sectors is a plus.
