Senior Financial Accounting Advisory Services – Credit Risk

About the role

You will work directly with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries, helping them navigate new accounting standards, regulatory changes, and complex transactions. The role involves building strong internal and external networks to expand the FAAS pipeline while delivering high‑quality advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Report to Managers and Senior Managers throughout planning, execution, and wrap‑up of FAAS engagements.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, ensuring quality and timely delivery in line with EY policies.
• Collaborate with other EY locations, service lines, and specialists to provide integrated solutions.
• Monitor engagement economics against financial metrics and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate trends, developments, and performance drivers to clients.
• Consult with experts on complex accounting issues and ensure deliverables are clear, accurate, and well‑presented.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum 3 years of consulting or technical experience in a professional services firm.
• Strong understanding of credit risk concepts such as PD, EAD, LGD, and risk models.
• Experience documenting model validation or model review processes.
• Knowledge of Basel II/III regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and client‑service skills.
• Ability to research emerging regulatory issues and new technologies.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and to develop team members.

Required skills

• Practical experience with PD, EAD, LGD, and other credit risk models.
• Model validation/documentation expertise.
• Understanding of Basel II/III regulations.
• Advanced statistical analysis, including distributions and regressions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA macros.
