Senior Hook Up Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Hook‑Up Engineer to lead the hook‑up discipline during the construction and completion phase of offshore and onshore projects. The role supports the Hook‑Up Lead and Manager to ensure timely, safe, and compliant execution of all hook‑up activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, ensuring prerequisites and sequential installation logic.
• Develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) for the discipline and create detailed hook‑up schedules synchronized with other trades.
• Review construction work packs, design material take‑offs (MTOs) and material requisitions for compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate material deliveries to yards, ports, offshore sites and manage progress registers against job cards.
• Liaise with warehouse, fabrication, and hook‑up material teams to verify receipt, inspection and tagging of equipment.
• Develop constructability logs, conduct risk assessments and ensure Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support commissioning teams to expedite vendor activities.
• Travel to offshore and onshore facilities to resolve disciplinary interfaces and participate in toolbox talks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hook‑up engineering within offshore/onshore construction projects.
• Proven ability to lead discipline teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to offshore sites and dynamic yard environments.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards and sustainability requirements.
