Senior Hook Up Engineer

About the role

The Senior Hook Up Engineer will lead the hook‑up discipline, supporting the Hook‑up Lead and Manager to deliver construction and completion campaigns during the hook‑up phase. This role ensures seamless coordination of on‑shore and off‑shore activities, driving projects to successful and timely completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, ensuring prerequisites and sequential installation steps are defined.
• Develop discipline‑specific WBS and constructability logs, monitoring weekly action closures.
• Review construction work packs for compliance with project requirements and verify material take‑offs (MTO) for offshore contingencies.
• Coordinate material deliveries to yards, ports, offshore sites, and on‑shore locations, and liaise with warehouse and fabrication teams.
• Develop and maintain hook‑up schedules, aligning them with other disciplines and the overall project plan.
• Conduct risk assessments, enforce Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) procedures, and ensure safety during hook‑up operations.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support commissioning activities.
• Travel to offshore sites and on‑shore yards to resolve disciplinary interfaces.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in hook‑up, installation, or commissioning on offshore/on‑shore projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, MTO, and material logistics.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
