Senior ICT/ELV Engineer – Data Center

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing data‑center design and engineering firm in Doha, is looking for a Senior ICT/ELV Engineer. You will lead the design, coordination and delivery of ICT, telecommunications and low‑voltage systems for mission‑critical and data‑center projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, international standards and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate ICT, telecommunications and ELV system designs for data‑center and mission‑critical facilities.
• Prepare technical documentation: design drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, system architectures and engineering reports.
• Design structured cabling, fibre‑optic networks, telecommunications infrastructure and cable‑management solutions.
• Create ELV designs for CCTV, access control, intercom, public address, intrusion detection, BMS, EPMS, leak detection and other security systems.
• Integrate ICT infrastructure with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and BIM disciplines.
• Develop layouts for data rooms, MDF/IDF rooms, carrier rooms, pathways and containment systems.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals and contractor proposals.
• Support site surveys, inspections, testing, commissioning and issue resolution during construction.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and project records within schedule constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 6–10 years of ICT/ELV engineering experience, preferably on data‑center, mission‑critical, commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of structured‑cabling standards (ANSI/TIA‑568, ISO/IEC 11801, BICSI).
• Familiarity with data‑center standards such as TIA‑942 and Uptime Institute.
• RCDD certification is highly desirable.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit and BIM coordination tools.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Design of fibre‑optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
• ELV system design: CCTV, access control, intercom, public address, intrusion detection, BMS, EPMS, leak detection.
• Understanding of network architecture, data halls, carrier rooms, meet‑me rooms, MDF/IDF rooms.
