Senior Linux Administrator – Hybrid Cloud & On-Premises

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to own day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement of enterprise Linux platforms and storage services across on‑premises data centres and cloud environments (OCI and Microsoft Azure). The role ensures stability, security and high availability while providing expert troubleshooting to cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS, AlmaLinux); manage upgrades, patching and security hardening using Red Hat Satellite and change‑management processes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and manage user access, permissions and security.
• Deploy and manage Linux workloads on OCI (Compute, VCN, Block Volumes, File Storage, Load Balancer, IAM) and Azure (VMs, Virtual Networks, Managed Disks, Files, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Azure AD).
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and high‑availability solutions using native OCI/Azure capabilities and enterprise backup tools.
• Apply cloud governance best practices, including tagging, least‑privilege access and patch orchestration with Azure Update Manager.
• Manage physical and virtualised environments (VMware), provisioning, lifecycle management and performance tuning.
• Administer enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS, NetApp ONTAP, HPE 3PAR, IBM storage), configure LUNs, zoning, multipathing, LVM, udev rules and filesystems (ext4, XFS).

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in Linux system administration on both on‑premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Mandatory knowledge of Oracle Database to collaborate with database teams.
• Strong understanding of storage concepts, SAN fabrics and backup/disaster‑recovery strategies.
