Senior Manager Procurement

About the role

You will lead the Procurement function within the Technical Strategic Procurement Department, driving strategic initiatives, coordinating RFPs, contract management, and supplier performance to ensure operational excellence and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Team, aligning practices with operational strategy and long‑term business goals.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost‑effectiveness, compliance and service delivery.
• Shape and implement best‑in‑class procurement operating models and processes across functions.
• Provide data‑backed recommendations to optimise procurement and contracting operations.
• Manage full‑lifecycle procurement and contracting for major technical and capital projects, including contract negotiation and performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, internal governance and aviation technical certification requirements.
• Engage cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders, technical leads and finance to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
• Supervise and mentor the procurement team to achieve high standards in delivery, reporting and compliance.
• Identify and drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.
• Lead implementation of risk management and control frameworks to reduce procurement risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 10 years procurement experience, with at least 5 years in an aviation environment.
• Proven experience in aviation technical procurement and managing complex technical projects.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including whole‑life cost modelling.
• Strong background in project/change management and procurement process optimisation.

Required skills

• Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) and Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) knowledge.
• Whole‑life costing and financial analysis.
• Contract negotiation and performance tracking.
• Risk management and control frameworks.
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge (including SB’s, STC’s and EUU’s).
