Senior Migration & Mobility Expert (EU-Egypt Project)

About the role

The European Union, together with NTU International A/S, seeks a Senior Migration & Mobility Expert to provide rapid, flexible, high-quality technical assistance for the EU‑Egypt “Downtown Facility” project. The role supports the strategic partnership between the EU and Egypt by strengthening policy dialogue and institutional capacities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance on migration governance, mobility and legal migration pathways.
• Support border management and protection‑related policy development.
• Facilitate institutional cooperation and coordination between public authorities and international partners.
• Contribute to EU‑Egypt dialogue on migration and mobility, including policy analysis and recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in migration studies, international relations, political science, law, public policy, development studies or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in migration governance, mobility, legal pathways, border management or protection policies.
• Proven experience preparing policy analyses, assessments, strategies or background papers.
• Strong knowledge of EU migration and mobility policies and cooperation instruments.
• Fluency in English (C1); Arabic highly desirable; French an asset.
• Experience in Egypt or the MENA region is a plus.
