Senior Offshore Surveyor Engineer

About the role

Airswift is looking for a Senior Offshore Surveyor Engineer to support a major oil & gas client in Qatar. The role involves leading offshore and topographic survey activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring data quality and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, programme and execute offshore surveying activities, including geophysical, geotechnical, ROV and oceanographic surveys.
• Define, contract, and manage the delivery of offshore survey data for FEED and EPIC phases.
• Ensure safe execution of all offshore data acquisition operations.
• Monitor and enforce survey standards, quality processes and company objectives.
• Provide technical input for equipment selection, tender scopes and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary survey activities and support multiple project fields.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Post‑Graduate Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in offshore and topographic surveying within the oil & gas industry.
• At least 7 years as a party chief/surveyor on major projects for reputable contractors or operators.
• Strong knowledge of international surveying codes, standards and best practices.
• Excellent technical, communication and presentation abilities.
