Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development and control of project schedules across all phases of construction. This role ensures that planning, cost, and progress monitoring systems are aligned with stakeholder expectations and supplier commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop initiation programmes, detailed plans and an overall progress control system for every development stage.
• Present project plans to stakeholders and ensure supplier programmes comply with detailed plans and monitoring systems.
• Monitor supplier rate of progress, draw up recovery action plans for slippage, and manage supplier claims.
• Establish project control procedures, work breakdown structures, cost and schedule baselines, and maintain accurate project data.
• Review overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project planning, including at least 8 years in planning and programming high‑quality projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered Engineer or PE preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant certifications such as UPDA, PSP, and an MBA are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Experience using Primavera Enterprises and Primavera Contract Management software.
