Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer to lead the technical and commercial procurement of materials and services for large‑scale infrastructure and building projects. You will shape supplier strategy, control cost and risk, and provide high‑level operational support in a demanding construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation of bids, tenders and comparison sheets to ensure strict alignment with engineering specifications.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for major project packages and manage high‑value supplier negotiations and framework agreements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC and Project Management to resolve technical queries, clear submittals and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Maintain procurement technical files, compliance records and contract terms in line with company procedures.
• Prepare detailed procurement status reports, milestone tracking and commercial evaluations for leadership visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of procurement experience in construction/contracting, with senior‑level exposure on large‑scale projects.
• Proven track record in Qatar or the GCC.
• Strong command of supplier markets, construction materials, engineering submittals and contract terms.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems.
• Advanced MS Excel for data synthesis and reporting.
