Senior Production Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Operator to join our process plant team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of critical equipment, ensuring continuous production while adhering to strict HSE and permit-to-work standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment such as separators, compressors, pumps, utilities and related systems.
• Control plant operations via DCS/SCADA interfaces.
• Conduct routine field inspections and report any process or equipment abnormalities.
• Execute start‑up, shutdown and troubleshooting activities following approved procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), isolation and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Operations teams during routine and shutdown periods.
• Prepare accurate shift logs, operational records and handover reports.
• Respond effectively to process upsets and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Process Operations, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 8–10 years of experience in oil & gas production operations.
• At least 5 years as a Production Operator in offshore or onshore hydrocarbon processing facilities.
• Valid OPITO BOSIET/HUET and H2S certifications preferred for offshore assignments.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Required skills

• DCS/SCADA system operation and process monitoring.
• Operation of separators, gas compression systems, pumps and utilities.
• Water injection and export facility management.
• Knowledge of PTW, isolation procedures and emergency response.
• Strong HSE compliance awareness.
• OPITO BOSIET/HUET certification (preferred).
• H2S safety certification (preferred).
