Senior Project Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the role

Airswift, an international workforce solutions provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas company. The engineer leads project teams that deliver complete project management services from inception to handover, covering onshore and offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project teams delivering project management services from inception to completion and handover.
• Prepare and implement project execution and QHSE plans for assigned projects.
• Monitor planning, cost control, budgeting, contract administration, progress reporting, change management and gate approval.
• Manage and coordinate a team of multidiscipline engineers to achieve cost-effective designs.
• Take part in tender package preparation, tendering, evaluation and submission, and advise tender committees.
• Maintain risk registers and interface with end users, government and statutory authorities and third parties such as JVs.
• Help resolve variations and contractor claims, and contribute to company procedures and guidelines.
• Mentor Qatari developees through proper job training.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline from a recognised university; a higher degree is an advantage.
• Membership in a recognised professional engineering or project management body is an added advantage.
• At least 12 years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of civil engineering projects.
• Experience coordinating with discipline engineers during feasibility and concept optimisation studies, FEED and EPIC.
• Effective communication, presentation, report writing and meeting management skills.
