Senior Project Manager – Aviation Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major aviation infrastructure, terminal and asset enhancement projects for a strategic client in the Middle East. The role covers the full project lifecycle from planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, handover and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large capital projects and infrastructure programmes, acting as the primary contact between client, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage execution plans, delivery strategies and governance frameworks, monitoring performance against programme, budget, quality and risk targets.
• Manage multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams, ensuring effective interface management across workstreams.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation, issue resolution and oversee contract administration, change management and commercial activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements and support procurement and tender evaluation processes.
• Provide regular project reporting to senior client stakeholders and Mace leadership, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Professional membership or accreditation such as PMP, MRICS, MCIOB, CEng or equivalent.
• Extensive experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, aviation or complex building projects, preferably in a senior client‑side role.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, programme controls, commercial and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, with excellent stakeholder communication.
• Experience delivering projects in live operational environments and familiarity with operational readiness, commissioning and handover processes.
