Senior Project Manager – National Financial & Tax Initiatives

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead transformational, national‑scale initiatives in the financial and tax domains. The role involves managing multi‑year, multi‑million‑dollar programs that span digital tax systems, e‑invoicing frameworks, legal harmonisation and extensive stakeholder engagement across Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of multi‑year mega projects, ensuring alignment with national priorities and strict timelines.
• Oversee information systems development, legal and policy framework implementation, and national awareness campaigns for tax systems.
• Manage task breakdown, work packages and RACI matrices to clarify roles across all stakeholders.
• Identify, mitigate and resolve risks, issues and escalations while maintaining budget and resource discipline.
• Provide regular progress reporting and maintain strong communication with government bodies, legal teams, IT departments and external consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• PMP and/or Prince2 certification highly desirable.
• 15+ years of experience managing large, complex projects in financial, tax or public sectors, preferably with ERP and national rollout experience.
• Proven ability to deconstruct complex initiatives into actionable work packages and manage stakeholder alignment.
