About the role

HSBC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking – International Mid‑Market team in Qatar is seeking a senior professional to act as a trusted advisor for internationally‑focused corporates with revenues from $100 m to over $2 bn. You will connect clients to HSBC’s global network and a full suite of corporate banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and deepen client relationships across the International Mid‑Market portfolio.
• Expand existing relationships and originate new‑to‑bank opportunities aligned with HSBC’s international strategy.
• Provide consultative insights to help clients navigate complex cross‑border and global market dynamics.
• Deliver best‑in‑class service and act as a senior escalation point for client needs.
• Partner with product specialists (Treasury, Trade, FX, Lending) to increase HSBC’s share of the client’s global wallet.
• Lead credit and risk discipline, including credit assessment, deal structuring, approvals support, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and financial‑crime controls.
• Strengthen internal connectivity and enhance HSBC’s presence in the local business community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required for work permit).
• 10+ years of experience in corporate/commercial banking or financial services with relationship‑management accountability.
• Strong knowledge of corporate banking products such as cash management, trade, FX, and lending/structured solutions.
• Solid credit and lending experience, including complex facilities and risk assessment.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and collaboration skills across product and risk teams.
• Outstanding communication and influencing abilities.
• Client‑centric mindset, commercial acumen, and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
