Senior SHES Manager - O&G Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SHES Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environmental and Security initiatives on large‑scale LNG and oil & gas construction projects in Qatar. You will work closely with project teams to ensure that all SHES objectives are met and that the site operates safely and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational SHES support, direction, guidance and leadership to construction projects.
• Support project SHES Managers to ensure compliance with corporate and client SHES expectations.
• Lead investigations of serious injury and fatality (SIF) incidents.
• Guide the development of project‑specific SHES plans and procedures.
• Assist project management with site mobilisation preparation.
• Manage relevant elements of the SHES management system.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of relevant HSE experience in the oil & gas construction sector.
• International project experience with Tier‑1 EPC contractors or clients on greenfield and brownfield onshore facilities.
• Strong knowledge of large‑scale project execution processes.
• Ability to work in a multi‑national matrix organisation.

Required skills

• NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in HSE.
• NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Lead Auditor certification for OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
• TapRoot® Advanced Root Cause Analysis Team Leader or equivalent RCA tool.
