Senior Social Media Officer

About the role

The Senior Social Media Officer will bring Qatar Airways’ social presence to life, overseeing the full content lifecycle from concept to publication. This hands‑on generalist role blends creativity with data‑driven optimisation across all major social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and produce end‑to‑end social‑first content, including scripting, filming, editing and publishing.
• Manage daily activity on Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Threads, ensuring brand reputation and audience engagement.
• Plan and maintain content calendars, write compelling captions and briefs aligned with business objectives.
• Grow reach, engagement and follower base through performance‑led planning, SEO awareness and channel optimisation.
• Monitor social metrics, build reporting dashboards and share insights with leadership.
• Coordinate with internal teams, agencies and influencers to deliver large‑scale campaigns and capture viral moments.
• Provide live event coverage and hands‑on support for major launches and campaigns.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., social media, digital marketing, communications, graphic design or related field).
• At least five years of experience in social media and content creation, preferably in travel or agency environments.
• Hands‑on experience managing all major social platforms and delivering content under tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, for live coverage and rapid turnarounds.
