Senior Specialist Data Engineering

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Data Engineering will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and products on Ooredoo's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data platform. This role supports AI, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives across customer value management, marketing, digital sales, and customer care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise real‑time analytical data stores and feature stores for model training and deployment in Dataiku.
• Build robust data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment processes using ETL tools such as Informatica, advanced SQL scripting, or Dataiku.
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate analytical needs into production‑ready data assets and reusable frameworks.
• Integrate datasets with reporting and BI platforms, including SAP BusinessObjects and Qlik Sense, delivering curated, trusted data.
• Implement data quality rules, metadata management, and validation frameworks to ensure reliability and governance.
• Automate pipelines and monitoring to minimise manual intervention and improve efficiency.
• Support data platform optimisation through performance tuning and workload management.
• Participate in defining new data engineering standards, coding guidelines, and reusable components.
• Document end‑to‑end data flows and processes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in data engineering and cloud data platforms.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams including data science, commercial, and platform partners.
