Senior Tax Analyst (Trading)

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst (Trading) will provide tax planning and advisory support for QatarEnergy's Marketing & Trading businesses, assets and activities. You will analyse complex tax matters, deliver practical recommendations and work closely with business stakeholders and external advisers to manage tax risks and protect the company's interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax planning and advisory support for assigned Marketing & Trading operations.
• Analyse corporate and international tax issues, including cross‑border transactions, tax treaties, permanent establishment and withholding tax.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisers to ensure timely and accurate tax advice.
• Monitor indirect tax, transfer pricing and tax authority processes relevant to the business.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks while supporting informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant tax experience in industry, professional services or tax administration.
• Proven experience with international tax matters, commercial transactions and cross‑border operations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commercial awareness, sound professional judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law or a related discipline; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA or equivalent) preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of corporate and international tax principles.
• Understanding of cross‑border transactions, tax treaties, permanent establishment and withholding tax.
• General knowledge of indirect tax, transfer pricing and tax authority processes.
