Senior Technician

About the role

The Senior Technician leads preventive and corrective maintenance activities within a facilities environment, providing direction to technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and verify scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks on time.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults, reporting issues to engineers and STOs.
• Train and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring they understand asset details and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, overseeing their work quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of defects, spare‑part requirements and hand‑overs at shift changes.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, PPE use, permits, and statutory training.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a comparable facility.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS standards.
• Proven ability to lead a team, prioritize work and communicate effectively across all levels.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and COSHH documentation.
