Senior Utilities Engineer (PWC Specialist)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer (PWC Specialist) to lead and coordinate mechanical utilities aspects of PWC plants and networks in Qatar, covering design review, construction supervision, testing and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve PWC system designs for compliance with contract specifications, design manuals, codes and industry standards.
• Lead complex field engineering assignments, supervise construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for mechanical utilities.
• Ensure testing, inspections and commissioning are performed, witnessed and documented according to approved procedures.
• Coordinate with construction management to identify and mitigate hazards, and maintain liaison with design review teams and construction staff.
• Develop and monitor discipline construction schedules, material procurement and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering on utilities PWC projects, including design, construction, FAT and commissioning.
• Mandatory MME (UPDA) registration in Qatar.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Design and construction of PWC plants and networks, knowledge of related codes and design manuals.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning of PWC systems.
• Mechanical utilities and water/wastewater infrastructure standards and regulations.
• Technical leadership in discipline design review, construction oversight and testing/commissioning.
