Senior Vice President – Strategy Development

About the role

The Senior Vice President – Strategy Development will lead QNB’s Strategy Development team within the Strategy and Business Development department. Reporting to senior executive leadership, this role is responsible for shaping and executing group‑wide strategic initiatives across domestic and international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full portfolio of group‑wide strategy assignments, including regional, country‑level, and business‑unit strategies.
• Develop and monitor metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure strategy implementation and performance.
• Lead the creation, review, and updating of financial plans linked to strategic projects.
• Assist the SEVP and EVP in identifying, analysing, and monitoring issues affecting profitability, growth, and productivity.
• Prepare and support executive‑level deliverables such as GCEO interviews, Board presentations, and public documents.
• Delegate authority to staff, oversee execution, and ensure alignment with the bank’s financial and non‑financial objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in strategy development within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑country projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of financial performance drivers.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with executive management and board members.
