Senior Well Integrity Engineer

About the role

The Senior Well Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all wells and related activities comply with NOC policies, industry standards and best practices throughout the entire well life‑cycle. The role is based primarily at NOC’s Doha office with occasional field visits to Al Shaheen and other sites.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and propose solutions for the integrity of over 550 wells across 21 platforms.
• Ensure well‑related derogations are fully analysed and approved in the CMS system.
• Maintain and enhance NOC’s well integrity management model and associated software.
• Act as the WISS focal point, keeping the Well Integrity Surveillance System aligned with the company’s failure model.
• Conduct daily surveillance of well operating envelopes, casing pressure trends and caliper data.
• Plan and coordinate integrity‑related activities with Intervention and Offshore Field Operations teams.
• Provide onsite technical assistance for integrity problems and lead operational risk assessments.
• Maintain dashboards, periodic reports and SAP notifications for well failures.
• Perform integrity calculations such as MAASP, tubing leak rate and burst/collapse assessments.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent) and IWCF Level 4 certification (Well Intervention or Drilling).
• Minimum 10 years of oilfield experience, including at least 2 years offshore exposure.
• Strong knowledge of well integrity management systems, API standards, annulus and corrosion management, and leak‑detection surveys.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
