Senior Wet Utilities Engineer – Water Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to lead planning, design, analysis and delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects in Qatar. The role requires strong technical expertise in drainage engineering, hydraulic modeling and a professional engineering licence in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of stormwater drainage, foul sewerage and wastewater networks.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, modeling and network analysis to ensure system performance and compliance.
• Prepare and approve engineering drawings, specifications, design reports and calculations.
• Coordinate with government authorities, utility providers, consultants and contractors to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues.
• Manage projects from concept through construction support, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and quality standards.
• Identify risks, design conflicts and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical proposals.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and supervision to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• 12+ years of professional experience in drainage engineering and wet utilities.
• Valid MME professional engineering registration or equivalent in Qatar.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects within approved budgets and schedules.
• Fluency in Arabic and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Qatar engineering codes, authority requirements and environmental standards.
