Service Center Technician

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Service Center Technician to perform reconditioning and repair tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures. The role involves both shop‑floor work and coordination with senior technicians to ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute reconditioning and repair activities based on SOPs and instructions from Senior Technician/SCTM.
• Monitor team/shift performance, focusing on waste elimination and process efficiency.
• Document improvements, deviations, and service execution details (quality, delivery, cost).
• Support team members with immediate problem solving and repair execution.
• Identify competence gaps, provide training/coaching, and conduct SOP audit dialogues.
• Participate in improvement initiatives such as PRP and GB projects.
• Coordinate and plan daily work for the team/shift.
• Perform field service tasks including disassembly/assembly of GPHE/WHE, frame reconditioning, and bolt tightening.
• Prepare service reports in collaboration with SCTM.
• Engage in 5S, safety, and quality activities and raise risks to SCTM promptly.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of repair processes, products, and applications.
• Ability to monitor and improve team performance.
• Effective communication with senior technicians and ability to document work accurately.
• Proactive in training peers and closing competence gaps.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• GPHE (Plate Heat Exchanger) handling
• WHE (Welded Heat Exchanger) handling
• Disassembly and assembly techniques
