Ship Project Interface Officer

About the role

Serves as the principal liaison between the LNG Shipping Department of the QatarEnergy Marketing Directorate and project management/engineering teams responsible for new‑build ships, ship operators and other external stakeholders. The role ensures the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence are met, and drives seamless integration of project requirements throughout the lifecycle of the long‑term chartered LNG fleet.

The officer will coordinate with shipbuilders, operators and regulatory bodies to align technical specifications, schedule milestones and performance targets, supporting QatarEnergy’s strategic objectives in the LNG market. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders to monitor project progress and address any operational challenges promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in oil & gas marine operations and transportation, with a proven track record of profit‑centre management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Studies or similar, or a 1st Class Marine Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner/Chief Engineer).
