Skilled Welder & Fabricator (MMA & MIG/MAG)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welder cum Fabricator with strong experience in advanced welding techniques, metal fabrication, and blueprint interpretation. The successful candidate will independently plan and execute high‑quality welds while upholding the highest safety and workmanship standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, and welding symbols.
• Determine welding procedures, including joint preparation, root gap, root face sizing, and multi‑pass sequences.
• Perform high‑quality MMA (SMAW) and MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding on various metals in all positions.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters, oxy‑acetylene torches, drill presses, grinders, and shop saws.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal structures and components to engineering specifications.
• Select appropriate welding consumables based on material type and application.
• Set up, calibrate, inspect, and maintain welding equipment and hand tools.
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, including PPE, permits, risk assessments, and safe material handling.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing or heavy‑industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in MMA and MIG/MAG welding processes (TIG welding is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience with fabrication equipment, including plasma cutting and oxy‑acetylene systems.
• Sound knowledge of metallurgy, welding techniques, and best fabrication practices.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to producing high‑quality work while maintaining a safe working environment.
