Store Manager, Sports

About the role

The Store Manager, Sports will lead the daily operations of a sports retail outlet, ensuring sales targets are met while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicates store targets to the team and drives sales to achieve financial objectives.
• Maintains loss prevention standards, oversees cash handling, fraud and theft prevention.
• Manages point‑of‑sale activities including sales transactions, order tracking, returns, refunds and customer data collection.
• Conducts regular audits, annual stock counts and spot checks.
• Handles customer complaints, provides corrective action and feedback.
• Analyzes brand sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to propose action plans.
• Maintains window and in‑store visual displays in line with merchandising guidelines.
• Oversees inventory management, stock ageing, space management and coordination with facilities for repairs.
• Plans staffing levels, prepares schedules and ensures coverage for peak periods and promotions.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of retail experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Strong product/category knowledge and customer‑orientation.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
