Storeroom Lead

About the role

The Storeroom Lead is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely replenishment, and maintaining a safe, organized storage environment. This role supports mission readiness by overseeing food handling, storage, and distribution in compliance with military standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain minimum stock levels and monitor inventory using historical data and utilization trends.
• Implement First‑In‑First‑Out (FIFO) procedures for all food and supply items.
• Conduct food handling, receiving, storing, and transferring in strict accordance with the Tri‑Service Food Code.
• Keep all storage areas, including CONEX containers, clean, free of debris, and free of ice buildup.
• Load, unload, stage, and palletize materials; perform forklift and ladder inspections.
• Break down and dispose of boxes and trash after deliveries.
• Escort OCN personnel to and from work assignments and provide additional escort duties as needed.
• Report damaged or deteriorated materials and prepare shipments.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse operations, food service, hospitality, nutrition, or related field.
• At least 3 years experience executing FIFO processes.
• Experience with overseas facilities or life‑support operations.
• Familiarity with the Tri‑Service Food Code and base recycling programs.
