Supervising Associate / Assistant Director – Independence Risk Management

About the role

As part of EY's MENA Independence team, you will support the operation, implementation and continuous maintenance of independence policies, procedures and compliance frameworks across the region. The role works closely with senior leaders, service‑line professionals and global Independence stakeholders on complex regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain EY's Independence policies and compliance framework throughout the MENA region.
• Lead complex projects, full‑country compliance reviews and resolve issues arising from intricate business relationships.
• Provide coordinated advice on highly complex situations, consulting with Global Independence and IFAC Centre executives.
• Respond to daily policy interpretation queries, delivering clear and timely guidance.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on policy changes and emerging regulatory developments.
• Identify emerging independence and compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of compliance, governance, risk management or regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to interpret policies and regulations and apply them to complex, ambiguous business situations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
• Demonstrated analytical, research and problem‑solving capabilities with high attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related discipline.
