Swimming Instructor – Academy Sport Center

About the role

We are looking for a Swimming Instructor to join our Academy Sport Center. The role involves delivering high‑quality swimming lessons to children and adults of all abilities, ensuring safety, and supporting the growth of our swim programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individual and group swimming lessons across all levels, following a recognised learn‑to‑swim framework.
• Teach water safety, stroke development and technique while maintaining the highest pool‑safety standards.
• Monitor swimmer progress, provide feedback to members and parents, and keep accurate attendance and performance records.
• Promote the swim programme, support enrolment and retention, and assist with holiday camps, galas and Academy events.
• Uphold safeguarding policies, collaborate with Academy staff and ensure equipment is safe and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• Recognised swimming teaching qualification (Swim England/ASA Level 2, STA Level 2 or equivalent).
• Lifeguard award (e.g., RLSS NPLQ) and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience teaching swimming to children and adults.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with members and parents.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; GCC/Qatar experience advantageous.
