About the role
A full-time, on-site Tax Accountant position in Doha, Qatar. The accountant prepares and reviews tax returns, ensures timely and accurate filings in line with applicable regulations, and keeps complete supporting documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements and transactions to assess tax implications
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with tax planning
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders and respond to tax-related inquiries
- Monitor changes in applicable tax laws and help improve tax and accounting processes
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Relevant experience in tax accounting, tax compliance and preparing/reviewing tax returns
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Qatar or other GCC countries
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills

- Accounting software and ERP systems
- Microsoft Excel
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
