Technical Officer (Civil)

About the role

The Technical Officer (Civil) is responsible for delivering preventive and corrective maintenance across the facility, guiding a team of technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Lead, train and direct a team of technicians, ensuring they have the correct knowledge of assets and installations.
• Assist subcontractors, monitor the quality of work, and report defects to the Fault Reporting Center or engineers.
• Manage spare‑parts requirements, follow duty rosters and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS.
• Proven ability to train staff, resolve disputes and prioritize work.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, BS regulations.
• Development of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH documentation.
