Technical Officer – Electrical Maintenance

About the role

The Technical Officer (Electrical) is responsible for delivering preventive and corrective maintenance across the facility, guiding a team of technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role ensures smooth hand‑overs at shift changes and reports equipment faults to engineers and senior technical officers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and train the maintenance team to perform assigned tasks effectively.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on schedule and complete corrective tasks promptly.
• Assist subcontractors, monitor work quality, and report defects to the Fault Reporting Centre.
• Maintain accurate spare‑parts records, follow duty rosters and ensure compliance with all HSEQ standards.
• Prepare and manage documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience in a comparable facility.
• Strong knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS standards.
• Proven team‑building, problem‑solving and dispute‑resolution abilities.
• Effective training skills and capability to work with personnel at all organisational levels.
