Technical Planner – AV & Rigging

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Planner to join our AV production team, focusing on rigging, event infrastructure, and technical planning. The role requires translating creative concepts and client briefs into accurate, detailed production plans using advanced Vectorworks skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Vectorworks drawings for AV, rigging, lighting, video, audio, structures and related event infrastructure.
• Plan and document temporary event rigging installations, ensuring compliance with loading, weight distribution and safety standards.
• Interpret architectural, structural and venue drawings to produce accurate technical plans from concept to installation.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, venues and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain version control of drawings.
• Provide on‑site support during installations and events, updating plans as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical planning, AV production, rigging or related event production.
• Advanced, professional‑level proficiency in Vectorworks, capable of producing detailed technical drawings independently.
• Strong practical knowledge of event rigging, temporary structures and AV system integration.
• Proven ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
