Technical Trainer – Lifting Operations & Industrial Inspection

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Trainer to design and deliver training programmes on lifting operations, industrial inspection and compliance with international standards. The role combines hands‑on industry experience with the ability to mentor trainees and support inspection activities across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and deliver professional training modules for lifting equipment, elevators, pressure vessels and electrical systems.
• Supervise trainees, monitor progress and ensure competency in inspection techniques.
• Review and approve inspection procedures, training materials and corrective actions for non‑conformities.
• Identify business development opportunities and coordinate with internal departments.
• Prepare detailed inspection and training reports using standard computer applications.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• 10–12 years of experience in lifting, construction, elevator or pressure‑vessel inspection and training.
• QatarEnergy Approved Inspector and Trainer status with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to work in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Lifting equipment inspection and certification (LEEA qualifications).
• Pressure vessel and boiler inspection (PED, API 510, EN standards).
• Elevator inspection (EN 81, EN 115, BS 2830).
• Electrical inspection (BS 7671, BS 2381).
• Hazardous area training (Zone II), NDE/NDT techniques, H2S awareness, breathing‑apparatus and firefighting basics.
• Report writing and proficiency with standard computer applications.
