Technician (Cleaning Equipment)

About the role

The Technician is responsible for performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on cleaning equipment, supporting the maintenance team and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department. The role also requires timely reporting of any equipment faults to the engineering staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) on all assigned cleaning equipment, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within the prescribed timeframes.
• Diagnose and carry out corrective maintenance actions to resolve equipment failures, guaranteeing that repairs are finished promptly and to a high quality standard.
• Provide assistance and guidance to subcontractors performing work on site, ensuring they follow company procedures and safety standards.
• Document and report all defects, breakdowns, damage incidents, and spare‑part requirements to the Fault Reporting Center or the designated Engineer, TO, or STO.
• Maintain and care for all tools, test equipment, and personal protective equipment, and adhere to duty rosters, health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) protocols.

Required profile

• Possession of an ITI Certificate, Diploma, or an equivalent technical qualification relevant to equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, and BS standards.
• Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Capability to work under tight deadlines and within operational constraints while maintaining high performance.
• Strong teamwork orientation, collaborating effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and engineering staff.
