Technology Senior Expert – CCGT Assets

About the role

We are seeking a Technology Senior Expert – CCGT Assets to manage, optimize, and provide strategic oversight for our Combined Cycle Gas Turbine portfolio in Doha. Reporting to the Manager of International Asset Management, you will implement advanced technologies and practices to boost efficiency, ensure compliance, and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day CCGT asset operations, ensuring high reliability, efficiency, and alignment with corporate quality guidelines.
• Develop and execute technical strategies to maximize asset output, integrating innovative management technologies.
• Supervise maintenance programs to minimize downtime, mitigate performance deficiencies, and extend asset life cycles.
• Ensure strict compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, industry standards, and environmental practices.
• Foster relationships with regulators, government bodies, industry leaders, and technology providers.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on performance gaps and implement actionable improvement plans.
• Translate divisional strategies into sectional business plans, manage budgets, and monitor financial performance.
• Lead talent development and people‑management initiatives, setting performance objectives and motivating technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration (mandatory); MBA highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in asset management within large corporate structures.
• At least 4 years in progressively senior managerial and leadership roles.
• Deep technical and commercial understanding of power, energy, and water sectors, especially CCGT trends.
• Proven expertise in root‑cause analysis, strategic financial planning, and regulatory oversight.
• Strong collaboration, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills with senior executives and international investors.
• Fluent English (mandatory); Arabic a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Qatar and GCC business culture and operating environments.
