Training Cell Team Leader

About the role

The Training Cell Team Leader reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and leads the training cell, which designs and updates the toolsets that identify training requirements and record completed training. The role supports maintenance personnel and managers in using all available media and training routes to show compliance and competency, giving the Part 145 manager confidence that staff are competent and current. It also covers human factors and other regulatory courses during holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Update training materials to reflect system changes, developments and upgrades, and keep them aligned with the appropriate configuration and standards together with the Lead Trainer
• Establish and maintain training schedules and delivery programmes, and support bespoke or new training, outsourced or produced
• Deliver induction, continuation, manual handling, working at height, IMS and SHE briefings as required
• Complete training records so maintenance personnel's competency and currency can be evidenced to the competent authority
• Liaise with outside agencies for training and refresher courses, collect feedback and review trends
• Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework, company procedures, the Safety Management System (human factors, error management, risk management, safety assurance), CAA airworthiness records and statutory requirements such as EASA, ITAR and EaPW
• Support contract reviews and communicate changes to airworthiness records

Required profile

• General Typhoon aircraft knowledge and awareness of how the team fits into the wider objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Engineering HNC or equivalent experience
• Leadership foundation
• UK driving licence
