Vice President, Global Trade Services Product

About the role

QNB Group, the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a Vice President to manage its Global Trade Services products. The role is accountable for developing and marketing trade services products and value-added services, driving revenue and profitability while keeping costs efficient, and works closely with the Global Trade Banking (GTB) and QNB Group.

Key responsibilities

• Drive development and market of trade services products and value-added services, supporting revenue, profit and profitability targets set by senior management
• Work with the direct manager to achieve unit budgets and product targets, implement group strategies and promote cost efficiency
• Gather and analyse market and business intelligence, and work with Business Intelligence and Economic Research to meet customer needs and respond to competitors
• Initiate and develop trade services products and solutions, including product and credit programmes, packaged solutions and e-channel products, and prepare collateral and presentation material
• Track product profitability, coordinate with the sales team and maintain customer relationships, including a one-point-of-contact approach
• Prepare trade strategic and business plans, policies, standards, systems and procedures, and implement projects for trade products and channels
• Support marketing plans, pitchbooks and sales materials, and build the QNB brand at conferences and industry events
• Set pricing structures and policies for trade products, and support complex transaction closures across the QNB network
• Build product capability for QNB Overseas and expand the Qatar business
• Assess credit risk and risk profiles of trade clients, identify operational, market and sovereign risks, and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure activities are documented, report performance to senior management, and provide accurate data to auditors, compliance and risk functions
