Visual Communications Designer

About the role

The Visual Communications Designer will create high-quality visual content that reflects Northwestern University in Qatar’s brand identity and supports storytelling across internal and external channels. Working closely with the Assistant Dean of Communications and Public Affairs and the CPA team, the designer will produce print and digital assets for events, campaigns, publications, social media and presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Design web, social media, print collateral, reports, digital screens, event branding and promotional materials in line with brand guidelines.
• Develop and maintain brand protocols, templates, iconography, infographics and layout systems for the Qatar campus.
• Manage multiple design projects from concept to delivery, coordinating with printers, vendors and freelancers.
• Maintain an organized library of brand assets, templates and final artworks.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, web and social media leads to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Provide on-site design support for live events, signage, presentations and branded assets.
• Contribute to team meetings, workshops and knowledge-sharing resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in communications, media or an academic environment.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate designs efficiently.
• Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced setting.
