About the role

GEMS Wellington School – Qatar is seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Primary Teacher to join its high‑performing community with an immediate start. The role involves delivering the National Curriculum for England to upper Key Stage 2 learners in a supportive, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and examination specifications.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every student can achieve their potential.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and drive outstanding outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practice.
• Build positive partnerships with students, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute to enrichment, co‑curricular activities and ongoing professional learning.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE with QTS or equivalent) specialising in Primary education.
• Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of evidence‑based teaching practices.
• Commitment to high expectations, continuous professional growth and contributing to a high‑performing school community.
• Availability to start immediately.
