Accountant – Financial Reporting & Controls

About the role

Boutiqaat is seeking an experienced accounting professional to own its accounting function, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and turn data into actionable business insight. This role goes beyond routine reporting, playing a key part in strengthening financial governance and supporting strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the General Ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash, and fixed assets, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing cycles, meeting all deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local standards.
• Coordinate external audits, provide documentation, and resolve audit findings promptly.
• Manage tax compliance, VAT filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Develop and monitor internal financial controls, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support resource allocation.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, ensuring clear performance expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA or equivalent) highly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and external audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proven leadership and people‑development abilities.
